Satellite

This services is mostly used in locations where cable or DSL Internet access are not available and in locations which move frequently (boats, vessels). Internet access via satellite is available worldwide by using a small dish antenna and a satellite modem.
Satellite offers less network bandwidth compared to DSL or cable due to the long delays required to transmit data between the satellite and the ground stations. This causes a sluggish performance experience in some cases making applications like online gaming not to function properly over this type of Internet connection.
Thanks to technology advances, all newer satellite services support full "two-way" satellite links, meaning that upload and download connections can be done simultaneously over the same link.
